Cloud hosting technology is the buzz of the 21st century. With greater efficiency, faster website request times, and more reliability from server crashes and downtime, cloud hosting is the new wave of the hosting future. However, the costs of setting up this type of web server configuration and architecture has made it effective only for larger corporations. In fact, until now cloud hosting has been priced out of reach for most small to medium sized businesses.

However, SiteCloud claims to be the world’s #1 cloud hosting provider. Their brand of cloud hosting is both reliable and affordable. So is cloud hosting right for your business with SiteCloud? We take a look at this newcomer to the web hosting industry and give you our ratings.
Reliability (5/5)
[rating:5:5]
Cloud server technology has proven to be more reliable and more efficient than the shared-server hosting paradigm. Cloud hosting uses load balancers and redundant routers to distribute web traffic requests. Because of a redundant “server cluster” configuration, downtime is a thing of the past. Even if a single server goes down, others are at the ready to take over instantly.
Is SiteCloud’s service reliable? Absolutely. They back up their plan with a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a 30-day money back guarantee as well if you’re not completely satisfied.
Price Value (4/5)
[rating:4:5]
Is cloud hosting affordable? Typical cloud hosting price plans are exponentially more than shared plans. Even pay-as-you-go type of pricing plans have clients paying $30 or more per month.
However, SiteCloud brings their cloud hosting plan to clients at an affordable $4.95 per month with a 3 year plan. Clients can get 2 years for $6.95 per month, or a 12 month plan for $7.95.
Control Panel (5/5)
[rating:5:5]
SiteCloud offers cPanel control panel software for its clients. CPanel is the top rated brand in the industry and gives users complete configurability with drag and drop ease. You can easily install plugins, scripts, and third-party software with a few clicks. And users can easily manage email accounts, databases, security settings, and many other important website account controls.
Customer Support (2/5)
[rating:2:5]
SiteCloud states that they understand that clients value 24 hour support availability. They do offer 24 hour support, however it is only through online chat or email. Their live phone tech crew is available only during business hours.
While live support is important, so is an online help center. SiteCloud does provide an online knowledgebase, but it lacks in depth as compared to other top rated hosting companies. A helpful knowledgebase should have hundreds of articles, tutorials, guides, downloadable instructions, and even an online forum. SiteCloud gives clients exactly 32 sales question articles and only 44 support question replies.
SiteCloud should focus on building their online support if they expect to compete with other reputable web hosts.
Overall Value (4/5)
[rating:4:5]
Despite an inferior online help center, SiteCloud provides an extremely valuable product. Affordable cloud hosting is demanded from website clients, but only SiteCloud has thus far been able to develop a service that brings cloud hosting quality at a shared hosting price. Overall, we feel that SiteCloud’s service is a good 4 out of 5 and worthy of our recommendation.
