While GoDaddy has their focus is on helping register your business domain, they also provide plenty of hosting choices to get your new domain up and running as a website in no time.
Ease of Use (4/5)
GoDaddy has built a reputation on becoming the easiest company to check and register any domain. And while they offer domains, websites, and “everything in between,” you do need to know what you’re looking for when shopping for products and services at GoDaddy. They have such a wide range of products and services that it can get confusing, especially to the new business owner unfamiliar with web hosting services and terms. But GoDaddy tries to make it simple for even the newest of website owners with plenty of graphics and tab navigation through their website.
Price Value (4/5)
By far, GoDaddy has the best price on domain registration, starting at just $1.99. Business websites will probably want a “dot com” domain which start at $10.69 for new registers. There are three web hosting plans available with the Economy Plan starting at $4.24 per month for basic and limited features, and going up to $14.99 per month for the Unlimited Plan with all the unlimited features you expect in a business-class website like bandwidth, disk space, and databases. With any plan you’ll get plenty of credits to use on search engines and social media to start your promotional campaign.
Control Panel (3/5)
GoDaddy uses Simple Control Panel to help user accounts manage their website. While this is not a widely recognized control panel like cPanel, it is sufficient in getting website domains up and running. You can use Simple Control Panel to transfer your website files, manage databases, set up emails and mailing lists, and control all the security functions of your website.
Customer Support (4/5)
The GoDaddy community of support has plenty of resource available for your research and one-on-one needs. Call their telephone support line 24 hours a day. Or go to the Community area where you can engage in discussions, search their library of information and articles, and find plenty of help guides and tutorials.
Overall Value (4/5)
GoDaddy provides affordable domain registration solutions and web hosting plans for small to medium sized businesses. For those in the “know” of web domain and server plans, this is a great deal. Newer business website owners may have a more challenging time navigating the sea of options and features. But GoDaddy is there to help anyone get their website ready for business.
GoDaddy is #1 in domain registration. Get your website domain for just $1.99 or a dot-com domain for only $10.69. Then get your business website online with web hosting plans starting at just $4.24 per month.
